Get to Know CLC in Greensboro

On Thursday, August 24th Children’s Law Center held a community education event at Transform GSO in Greensboro. This was an opportunity for community members and public officials to learn about Children’s Law Center and to engage with board and staff members. CLC has been working in Guilford County since 2014, serving as a voice for children across the county in both the Greensboro and High Point communities in Chapter 50B Domestic Violence Protective Order cases. The CLC has advocated for over 200 children in Guilford County through our work in Domestic Violence Protective Order cases and with our service expansion to include appointments to High Conflict Custody cases has been able to give a voice to more children than ever in Guilford County. In the last 12 months, we have nearly tripled the number of children we are able to advocate for compared with the 12 months before.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We had many great conversations and had the opportunity to educate people on the important work we do providing children with quality legal advocacy focusing on domestic violence issues, high conflict custody cases, and the rights of children in public education.
